Stitches Bamoko Pendant by LZF
The Stitches Bamako Pendant, designed by Egbert-Jan Lam of Netherlands based Burojet Design Studio, is named after a place in Mali, West Africa, known for its long history as a producer of embroidery. Veneer lengths are crafted in a traditional sewing fashion - by marking out a pattern, cutting it and then repeating, so producing an individual lamp. Light shines through the visible hemstitching, cleverly simulating the embellished stitches found on cloth. It hints at the simple beauty found in Malain embroidery.
